A strong-willed and independent heroine, Roxy never expected to fall in love after years of failing in the world of dating. Miles Hart is the perfect father, and a sexy rock star, both equally attractive in the eyes of his adoring female fans. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. The colorful secondary and supporting characters include Miles’ son Ben Hart, as well as Mile’s brothers Campbell ‘Mason’ (and Mackenzie), and Miller (and Ally); and Roxy’s brother William Sterling. ONCE UPON A WILD FLING is a story of romance and love, family and friendship with sexy and sassy characters, and a ‘chicken magnet’ for a dad. The premise is entertaining, engaging and endearing; the romance is passionate and seductive; the characters are courageous, fun and lively. ONCE UPON A WILD FLING is a fantastic addition to Lauren’s HEARTBREAKERS series.

Miles and Roxy have already made a significant appearance within the Heartbreakers. Firstly, Miles is the youngest brother in our trio of heartbreaker siblings and secondly, Roxy is McKenzie's best friend from Once Upon A Real Good Time.  Once Upon a Wild Fling is pretty straightforward, Miles and Roxy are friends who agree to act as a plus-one to the other if the occasion should arise. Although there is heat simmering in the background neither Miles or Roxy has acted on their fantasies because of the other barriers in their lives - Roxy's brother is also Miles' friend and financial advisor, Miles has a six-year-old son who is the center of his world and lastly, Roxy has recently undergone IVF in order to make her dreams of motherhood a reality. Once Upon a Wild Fling plays out beautifully with a lot of humor mixed in with the swoon. The family relationships are the stuff dreams are made of, the camaraderie and support they provide each other is more than most of us can wish for. For me, however, it was Miles' son, Ben, who completely stole the show with his adorableness, and above all his ability to see situations clearly. As adults we tend to overthink things to the point we get in our own way, whereas children are more along the lines of black is black and white is white 😁 Lauren manages to progress the other brother's stories alongside the development of Miles and Roxy's relationship providing a fantastic completion to the Heartbreakers series 💞

Once Upon a Wild Fling is a sweet and swoony single-dad romance. I’ve really enjoyed the three books in this series, the Hart brothers definitely live up to the Heartbreakers name! And Miles, the baby of the fam, might just be the best of the bunch. He’s such a dedicated, hands-on dad, I just loved that about him. You can hardly blame Roxy for falling for Miles, even as she did everything she could to avoid it...he is definitely a chicken magnet. And with Ben, his little chicken nugget, by his side, no gal could have stood a chance! Neither Roxy nor Miles was really looking for a relationship- Roxy’s fed up with dating the wrong guys and decides to fianlly take things into her own hands, and Miles is focused on his son and his career, so when he proposes the "plus one" arrangement it works out perfectly for them both. Until, well you know, they catch feelings for each other! And then things get complicated and Miles needs a “come to Jesus” moment with his brothers and Roxy needs to maybe listen to her mother every now and then. Because when you care about another person as much as these two cared about each other, dare I say loved each other, you sometimes need a little nudge in the right direction. Once again Ms. Blakely delivers a story full of the fun and flirty banter we’ve come to expect from her, while giving us a delicious slow burn romance that really heats up the pages!
