Publisher's summary

A fake-marriage stand-alone performed in duet by Teddy Hamilton and James Joseph!

One night with no strings was supposed to be the plan.

After barely escaping my last train wreck of a romance, I’ve got a new dating goal—play it cool.

I stick to that strategy when I bump into a charming Brit I met once before. He’s newly out and eager for all the things he’s never done, so I make the helpful suggestion we jet off to the city of sin for the night, then say good-bye.

But instead, thanks to a bet and some bourbon, we’re saying "I do".

And in the morning I’m asking myself, what the hell have I done? But we’ll just undo the holy matrimony right this stinking second.

Except, the pics of our nuptials are splashed all over the internet–the pro football player eloped!

Great, just great.

Now, my agent says we need to stay mister and mister until the brouhaha blows over.

Thirty days as fake husbands with the sexy, irresistible guy who’s determined to prove that he’s nothing like my ex?

My bruised heart can handle that as long as I don’t fall for my husband.

And I won't. When we split for real, he'll be an ocean away.

These two will make you swoon!

What happens when one drunken night in Vegas leads to deliciously sexy Happily Ever After? Find out in "Limited Edition Husband"!

Take one football star nursing a broken heart after his marriage ended in betrayal and add a fresh faced tv producer eager to explore a newly found part of himself and you get a Limited Edition Husband!

Nate Chandler is the Hawks star receiver but the only thing he has caught lately is grief over the way his marriage ended. Hunter Colburn is a fresh faced tv producer trying to shed the shadow of his high powered Tv Mogul father and make his own mark in the streaming world. You feel the positive energy he radiates and can't fault Nate for being drawn to him.

These two have an adorable meet cute at a carnival and a few months later, as fate would have it, these two meet again and sparks fly. One impulsive trip leads to a wild night in Vegas [of all places] and you know what they say about happenings in Vegas.....you wake up married and heading to London !

One week in London as the NFL heads there to play 'American Football' is more than just a challenge on the field. These two fall and fall fast, but they are up against a ticking clock as their relationship is only set to last 4 quarters. Their relationship is pure magic. You feel their longing for each other as the chapters go on. Teddy portrays Nate's strong but vulnerable side to a tee and newcomer James Joseph breathes exuberance into Hunter. I can't say enough how much Duet Narration helps tell the story for me. From the back and forth and flow of dialogue, you can't beat it. I can't say enough how much I enjoy how the author brings in characters from other stories you may have read and threads their storylines in seamlessly. I get so invested in each couples; stories that it's nice to hear a small update on their lives and to get another glimpse of them is always fun L. Blakely knows how to write romance and draw you in almost immediately. You want these two to stay together and you are invested. Sometimes you don't need a major rift to give you just enough conflict and see it resolve quickly but with emotional growth and intimacy that makes us human.

Absolutely Perfect

I loved everything about this book. This is book 4 in LB’s Winner Takes All series and is my favorite. As always, the narration was perfect. James Joseph is exceptionally talented with his character voices and Teddy Hamilton sounded extra, dare I say, sexy.

This book will definitely be in my rotation of books I listen to again.

Swoon and hot sexy scenes

Love this series of books. Lauren did it again. Tugging on my heartstrings, lots of love, laughter, sift and tender moments. The narrators were exceptional as always. The bloopers are hilarious!

Steamy, flirty and delicious

Pour me an affogato because I could not get enough of Nate and Hunter. “Limited Edition Husband” is a steamy, flirty, and oh so delicious MM fake marriage romance that I could not stop listening to.

Nate is the star receiver for the San Francisco Hawks and has been anti-relationship since his divorce months ago. While at a LGBTQ+ fundraising carnival, he meets the oh so charming Brit, Hunter. Hunter is in town for his job and saw the carnival from afar and decided to check it out. He’s instantly smitten with Nate and the two have some afterwards. But the two have completely separate lives in different countries. But when a date opens up, the two spend a night in Vegas which leads to a trip to the drive thru wedding chapel.

I love that this is a fake marriage/relationship troupe. The chemistry between them is undeniable and sizzling hot. From the first meet, I could feel it as I listened and became so invested in their story. Nate’s confidence is so attractive but I also loved how we got to see his vulnerable side. He’s not afraid of PDA and his love language of physical touch. Hunter is absolutely adorable and I loved him instantly. He’s a bit younger than Nate and wasn’t afraid to speak up about it and learn from Nate. I loved how from the very beginning they were comfortable with each other and how well they fit together. They were exactly what each other needed and I loved them so much.

Teddy Hamilton and James Joseph narrate in duet and they were just so perfect as Nate and Hunter. Teddy is oh so loveable, per the norm, as Nate but also brought the dirty side out as well. I loved James so much and he was so perfect as the sweet and quirky Hunter. Listening to Teddy and James in duet was such a delight and I hope we get more of them together in the future.

5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🎧

Fake Relationship, seems like a lot of books lately have been this trope. I don’t mind it, but it is not always a favourite of mine. Butttt LB does it again, takes a trope I am not a fan of and turns it around so that I am like hell to the YASSSS.

Nate & Hunter the chemistry is off the rails, it's so great.
The meet cute is exactly that cute! I loved how they hit it right off the bat even when you're getting pie thrown at your face. 😉

Hunter who isn’t experienced knows what and who he wants and that is Nate in a big way. He is sincere and it shows. Nate is trying to keep it casual because he just got out of a marriage that broke him. So he isn’t really ready for serious situations but his feelings sure are making a liar out of him.

When things get a little too real, and they find themselves in a predicament I love how they rallied and came up with a game plan to make it work for both of them and their careers. That is huge in the coming story because they really do think of each other even when it is hard.
That is all I can say about that without giving things a way.

The narration is AMAZING, SPECTACULAR, FANTASTIC!! Seriously, LB picks the right people for the job hands down Teddy and James were these characters for me, and the bloopers are perfect. I laughed with tears at the end, great Audiobook, run don’t walk.

Wonderful!

Limited Edition Husband is book 4 in the Winner Takes All series, but it does stand alone. I haven’t read the prior books in the series and it didn’t matter for this book. This is a MM, contemporary, fake relationship, sports romance set in both San Francisco, CA and London, England. The main characters are Nate and Hunter. Nate is 29 years old, gay, divorced, pro football player, and American. Hunter is 24, newly discovered he is bisexual, single, and English. They met at a LGBTQ carnival fundraiser and were both hoping for some no strings attached fun. They kept thinking of each other and then ended up meeting again four months later when their paths crossed at a work event. They ended up taking a quick trip to Vegas with a group of friends and got drunk married. Due to both of their careers and personal issues, they had to remain married for appearances sake until enough time had passed that they could claim it just didn’t work out.

I loved this book. There are some situations of miscommunication and assumptions that lead to issues, which is something I am not a fan of, but they were resolved relatively quickly so it was done well. I enjoyed the fact that there were actual scenes with football related things, rather than just saying the main character is a football played but never actually touching on the sports stuff. That is a big annoyance that I have with so many other books that have the main character being a sport player. I absolutely adored the ending of the last chapter before the epilogue. The only thing I wish would have been different, and I warn you that it is trivial and silly, is that I really want to know what was in the box that Nate’s ex-husband sent him as a wedding present. I’m just nosy like that, especially since Oliver, the ex, was such an attention seeking, dramatic, jerk.

The narration was wonderful. I loved it. The book is read in duet narration and these two narrators worked so well with each other and their voices were perfect for the characters they were reading for. It was a perfect pairing. The bloopers at the end were fun too. It was funny listening to them going back and forth.

Overall. I give this book 5 stars. I recommend it. It is worth a credit and I will listen to it again.

Never Wanted It To End

If possible, I would give this story an infinite number of stars.

The banter & chemistry between these characters, beautifully narrated by Teddy Hamilton & James Joseph, is quite intoxicating. After listening to several MM Romance audiobooks, it was not until listening to one performed in duet, that I realized what I had been missing...

I was transported to Nate & Hunter’s World, as if I had been stowed away, curled up in one of their pieces of travel luggage. The story was brought to life… and I find myself wondering why all audiobooks are not produced in duet!

If you want to become consumed, 360 degrees, into a playground where MM love & professional sports coexist as effortlessly as breathing air… then welcome to your next obsession.
