Publisher's summary

A sexy new friends-to-lovers stand-alone performed by Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt!

Let me list the reasons why dating the sexy, charming pro hockey star is a bad idea:

He’s one of my closest friends.

All our friends are friends.

The wounds I’ve got from past relationships go deep. And so do his.

We’re both devoutly single - it’s just safer for the heart that way. But there’s no reason not to bid on the gorgeous, clever athlete at the charity auction this weekend. If I win, it’ll be a "friendsdate".

And I do win. I win him big. And hard. And all night long.

The trouble is...what happens in the morning?

This fun and sexy romance also includes an extended epilogue narrated by Brian Pallino and Stella Hunter!

Friends to lovers tales are totally my jam!

So fun! I was excited to see that the audiobook for Lauren Blakely's Thanks for Last Night was set to release a few days early- I knew the audiobook would be worth a credit, as all Lauren Blakely book are. Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber did a phenomenal job bringing sweet and sassy Teagan and hockey player Ransom to life. Friends to lovers tales are totally my jam and Blakely really treated us to explosive chemistry and her trademark witty banter. I love the worlds she creates and each and every friend group she introduces us to includes a long list of people I'd love to hang out with in real life. It was fun to catch up with Logan and Bryn, Oliver and Summer, and Fitz and Dean at the end of the book. And the bonus epilogues were perfect! I have loved The Guys Who Got Away series and can't wait to see what Blakely has in store for her fans next.

Flirty friends to lovers

So it isn't a secret that Lauren Blakely is my favorite author. She's an automatic one click author for me, and books like this show why that is time and time again. I devoured Thanks For Last Night-both in audio and ebook form. My face hurt from smiling when I finished, but this flirty, fun and sexy book was totally worth it.

Thanks for Last Night is a standalone book, but if you've read Lauren Blakely before you've met Ransom and Teagan. I just loved getting to know them even more here. If you haven't already met them, don't worry, you can dive in here.

I really liked Teagan. She's competitive, sassy and fun. She loves her friends and is so supportive. She's the kind of person I would personally want to hang around with. I loved getting to watch her open herself up to Ransom!

I had high hopes for Ransom and he did not disappoint! He is sexy, smart and fun. So much FUN. I loved watching his interactions with his sisters and his friends, and I loved how he responded to Teagan. I would date Ransom in a heartbeat!

There is absolutely fabulous chemistry between Teagan and Ransom. What I love about a good friends to lovers book is watching that evolution happen, and I LOVE how it happened here. The entire premise made me grin. These two definitely are hot and steamy together; I definitely wanted a fan for some of this book! The journey these two took felt incredibly real and authentic.

I always say I want to live in a Lauren Blakely book-and I would absolutely LOVE being dropped into this world. The supporting characters here are all people I want to hang out with and I am so glad I got to revisit some of them. When I read a Lauren Blakely book it's like visiting an old friend while finding a new one. The book flowed well for me; and I didn't feel the supporting characters overwhelmed Teagan and Ransom. They were an integral part of the story for a reason.

The audio of this is phenomenal. In my opinion, Andi Arndt is a goddess. She can voice so many characters and make them all sound incredibly unique. Zachary Webber mentions my name in an offhand way so I can die happily now LOL. There are also cameos from other narrators such as Joe Arden, Stella Hunter and Brian Pallino that are amazing. I couldn't have asked for better performances on this book; they all brought these characters to life.

I didn't want to put this book down; in fact, I listened to it/read it overnight. This sweet, sexy, flirty and fun book hit the spot and was just perfect. I absolutely loved this book and would highly recommend it.

RomCom Perfection!!!

I absolutely adored Teagan and Ransom’s friends to forever lovers story. It’s fun, sexy, flirty and full of funny banter that totally endeared this couple to me so quickly. Lauren Blakely sure can write the heck out of a RomCom and Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt were the perfect narrators to play this fun couple in this Amazing series that can all be read as stand- alones but I think you should definitely read/listen to them all anyway so you can appreciate the other couples more. But also because they are all wonderfully entertaining! Zachary and Andi absolutely slayed their roles as Ransom and Teagan, they are amazing. Listening to this audiobook was like watching a movie and I just love that! I also love the additional amazing narrators for some of the other parts of the story. That is another thing Ms. Blakely does so well, she can cast the heck out of her audiobooks too and quite often now their are full casts which make them even more fun to listen to.
As far as this story goes, Teagan and Ransom have been part of the same friend group for years and now that their friends are all happily coupled off, they want the same thing for Ransom and Teagan, only they all think the two of them would be perfect for each other. Teagan and Ransom start to see that after she helps him out with something. Every part of their story kept me engaged and I couldn’t help but fall in love with them as they fell in love with each other! I loved this audiobook!

Thanks for Last Night

I enjoyed this story, I love that they are friends first because they have mutual friends and those friends totally wanted to see these two together. But again that would be awkward if they dated and it didn’t work out!!! So why would you put yourself out there. And pasts oh how the pasts can rear its head and make things so much more complicated.
Teagan and Ransom have a blast together when they hang out with their friends and they both know that their friends want them to hook up.
Ransom asks Teagan to help him out and sparks fly. Is it any wonder all their friends wanted to hook them up they knew these two would hit it off. Hit it off they did.

I enjoyed the banter and the back and forth will they won’t they. It kept it interesting and me listening.

I adored how attentive they both were to each other and how that grew so there wasn’t any petty games it was just a genuine relationship.

The ending epilogues are amazing and the sneak peek YES PLEASE!!

I do like that Lauren picks just the right narrators for her book. For me I wasn’t feeling Andi in this role for some reason. I didn’t get the fun and open vibe that I think Teagan is. I still enjoyed the performance but thought it was worth mentioning in case it wasn’t just me.

Short

I enjoyed it, but realized that I think it was pretty short for a full credit. I think there ought to be a system to differentiate cost if a book is less than 6 hours.

Not her best

I enjoyed the book but it’s not one of Lauren’s best. It was a little on the slow side for me and not near as much wit as she normally has. Good enough to be worth the credit but not good enough to listen to more than once.

Ransom and Teagan are fun, flirty and sexy!

Thanks for Last Night is the third book in The Guys Who Got Away series by the talented Lauren Blakely! It can be read as a standalone, but you should read all the books in the series since they are all awesome! This is Ransom and Teagan's story! They are just friends. Right? Yes, right. Until Ransom needs a favor and Teagan is just the right woman for the job. He's in a bachelor auction and he wants to win, so he asks Teagan to bid on him. It's just friendly. A friendly bid, a friendly date. But when a real kiss at the end of the auction turns their friendliness into lust, it's on! They can't keep their hands off each other and it'll just be one night. Then they can go back to just being friends. If they date for real and it goes bad, she can't risk losing the only family she has, their group of friends. Ransom always wanted her, but they have always been just friends. All their happily coupled up friends have been trying to push them together. Now that he's has a taste of her, he's not sure he can go back to being just friends. She's just too sexy, pretty, smart, fun. He wants her to be his. Will Ransom and Teagan take the risk that their friendship can lead them to forever? I loved this story! It's sweet, sexy, fast paced and full of fun, lust, and friendship. It was great to see the other characters from the series and meet a few new ones. I loved the bonus at the end too!

Audio: Zachary and Andi are fantastic as always. They just have the ability to become the characters and I enjoyed listening to them be Ransom and Teagan!

Love, love, love this one!

Ransom and Teagan have a common story as the last of the single friends in the group and everyone wants them to be happy. I loved that Lauren Blakely brings along the characters from the other books in the series (The Guys Who Got Away series) and we see beyond their original HEAs. The epilogue and wrap up of the series is perfect and everything I needed. And of course the queen of audio (besides LB) Andi Arndt and the always sexy Zachary Webber were spot on for this couple. Spend the credit, it’s totally worth it!!
