As always, I enjoyed this book because it was a fun sweet & romance with very little drama. The characters were great. I really enjoyed that they get to know each other as friends and it's not just a sexual attraction. They were honest with each other about what they want in life even with their different expectation and in the end they acted like mature adults and they worked it out without a big fuss. That was probably my favorite things about this story was that no one just changed to fit into the other person's box. The relationships between the parents and their kids was great too. I am a sucker for a single parent romance and we get that in spades with this story. I love a feel good romance without all the angst.

The narration was good but I'll be honest I would have LOVED it if it had been duet. I loved Shane as Liam & Ethan and Vanessa as January & Wednesday.

So much eye rolling

This is probably best suited for people who live for Fairy Tales and who love to watch the Hallmark Channel. Definitely not for romcom cynics. I really should have known better.

What a fantastic surprise!

I’m a sucker for a sexy veterinarian and Liam was all that and more. A hot, British single dad with a heart of gold, an unconventional story, and an actual desire to settle down, swoon! I loved that the heroine owned a business in a male dominated field (carpentry) and was independent and content with that. Throw in some kids, dogs, and relatively low angst and I am a happy camper. Absolutely loved this bonus book from the rom-com queen LB. Put a smile on my face on a Monday morning.

I’m Not Crying

Y’all... this one got me out of nowhere.
I love that these characters are a little older (mid-late 30s) and have more to consider than bedroom chemistry. I love the relationship between the them and their kids. I love the scene at the animal shelter.

It’s a good one. It feels real and it was exactly the thing I needed this week.

I cant be the only one

I wanted to like this, I really did. Sadly, it was predictable, I caught myself rolling my eyes so many times, and just not good! We have a 'strong woman' that is happy being single, enter neighbor with a British accent and suddenly she is transformed and doesn't know herself at all. The ending is rushed...the only thing that kept me listening was the narration, it was good background noise.

So much fun

One of my favorite by this author. So nice to read about adults with existing lives finding love and happiness. No major crazy drama. but enough life stuff and emotion to keep it interesting. Plus all good people, some heat, 2 amazing kids and a really nice HEA. Perfect listen for a little mental getaway.

Swoonworthy!

I don't even know where to start with this book. Lauren Blakely has me at a loss for words with a book I am in love with. Maybe it's the characters, or the narration, but I think it may be my favorite of her books this year. An easy listen we have next door neighbors, January and Liam. January divorced living with her high school daughter, she finally has the life she wants. Liam, a single dad moved in as he takes over his father's vet office. Two people, with incredible chemistry but different paths. Will they be able to resist each other? Can they find a happy medium? Fun, flirty and hot, this story pushed all my buttons. I love that it's mature characters and January is a carpenter! She is strong and confident, and I love it! Liam with his son is so attractive, tugging all the heartstrings. Add in the witty banter and the dog and I am in love with the Dream guy next door!Shane East and Vanessa Edwin are just icing on the cake.,the narration is impeccable. East steals my heart as Liam. He is warm and alluring drawing us into Liam's life. Edwin brings all the attitude to January with her confident vulnerability. Together their story telling brought this story to life.

love everything about this book

I have to say. I LOVE this book!! Shane and Vanessa are excellent and I can say when I listen to an audiobook narrated by them I don't really notice the difference when there's a transition of narrators. They really good on bringing you in the story. What can we say about the book!?!? It is a Lauren Blakely book and it's funny and such a good flow and I haven't stopped listening besides when someone was talking to me. lol this book goes straight to my favorite books. ❤❤❤❤

HEA Without A Story

I will start by saying the narration was great and the only reason my overall rating is a 2.5. I could listen to Shane East read the phone book. I gave the performance a 4 and the story a 1 so overall that is 2.5. The 4 for performance is because there really wasn't a story to perform. I have some early Lauren Blakely books and I like them, so I knew I was in for some soft porn type sex scenes. However, in the books I like I can skip those scenes and there's still a story there to get into. Not this book, sometimes something is said during those scenes that helps build the story and I have to go back. Nope, this one is just about setting the main characters up to have sex. This book is also syrupy, hurt your teeth kind of sweet. Unfortunately I have been disappointed by the last few Lauren Blakely books I have tried to listen to. I did skip through parts of this book and am glad I did not waste a credit or cash on it. The book was part of my membership. I hope this helps you.
