I am still coming down from the high of reading this book. Oh My Lord the heat between Derek and Perri will cause not only your Kindle to smoke but your body will experience some exhilarating moments where you will either need a cold shower or ..... well you will see what I'm talking about when you read this hot book. This book is about Perri, the cop friend of Arden from Best Laid Plans. Perri is focused on her career and definitely doesn't have time for a relationship. When her boss recommends she enter a kissing contest for charity because he and several others in the community are doing the same, she decides that's what she needs to do to help get the promotion she is after. Now to find a partner for said kissing. Meet Derek, hot as sin EMT with tattoos and a motorcycle and muscles that every woman just wants to run their finger over. Perri and Derek's fateful meeting puts them in the right place at the right time and let the heated kissing begin. Lauren Blakely is a word genius and each book she writes I think to myself, "she can't get any better than this", but then she proves me wrong and outdoes herself. I am a Lauren Blakely junky. I must read her books, I devour them each and every one but let me say this is my favorite. I am a huge fan of back and forth banter and a build up between characters and this one is the champion of that. The heat between these two will melt you and when you get to know Derek you will fall in love with him. He is my new book boyfriend and it will be challenging to find another to be better. Besides the extreme heat in this book there are so many other "feels" there. This is a great story of friends that love each other and help each other through tough times. It is about a families love and what you do when your family needs you. It's about letting down your guarded heart and letting someone in, completely, even when you risk losing it all. I also loved that it shows their struggles with their day to day jobs and how we all have lives to live as well as love to cherish and some days are just tougher than others but we get through them. This book is far better than 5 stars. I am still buzzing from all the "feel goods" it gave me. I received an early copy to read and review. I HIGHLY recommend this book. I can't wait to get the audio version as well because, holy hotness I know it will be fantastic.

THE FEEL GOOD FACTOR is a story of friendship, family, desire and love. The premise is entertaining and energetic; the characters are feisty and flirty; the romance is spicy and hot. Lauren Blakely pulls the reader into a seductive and breath taking look at a passionate romance with a happily ever after.

4.5/5 Perri is adorable, a necessary tough girl exterior due to her job on the force but a majorly squishy centre with her huge heart, compassionate nature and eagerness to make a difference. Plus she has a thing for hot, tatted bad boys😍 Enter Derek, who has the whole bad boy vibe down pat, although he, too, has a deliciously soft centre. Having moved to Lucky Falls to help her sister with her littles while her husband is on deployment. A paramedic by trade and all around ovary-exploder. Perri and Derek first meet when Derek is stopped for a minor traffic violation and the sparks begin to fly. It would seem destiny, a job promotion, a kissing contest and a meddling brother all join forces to ensure Derek and Perri are thrown closely together. Although they didn’t envisage just how close that would be – Derek being Perri’s new tenant. Both Perri and Derek are career driven and have never met anyone who would be able to fit in with their tightly packed schedules. Living together gives Perri and Derek insight into how a relationship would work seamlessly between them. Although they both stubbornly cling to their notion that a relationship takes time they do not have with their focus being on their respective careers. I loved the insight into their worlds, both the good and the bad. Particularly, how necessary it is to have people you can turn to for emotional support especially when you have such an emotionally draining job yourself. It was fantastic to get to catch up with Gabe and Arden from The Best Laid Plans plus watch the path to Vanessa and Shaw’s story being paved. The Feel Good Factor certainly lives up to it’s name providing warm and fuzzies and a sappy grin to get you through the day 💕
